How to Set Up a Default everyone Role for All Players
Know what everyone does
The everyone role is the default role in Player Roles Mod. Every player on the server has it automatically, and it cannot be removed from anyone. It acts as the baseline permission set that all other roles build on top of.
Configure the baseline
Edit config/roles.json and find the everyone entry. Put the permissions you want every single player to have here — for example the commands that should be available to anyone who joins. Anything you place in everyone applies universally, so keep it to genuinely safe, low-risk permissions.
Layer roles on top
Once everyone is set, create additional roles for players who need more. Those roles function as overrides: they can grant extra commands or change how a command is handled, but they don't strip away the everyone baseline unless you explicitly override a matching pattern. Reload the config after editing, then test with a fresh player to confirm the default set works before assigning anyone a higher role. This keeps your permission model predictable: everyone gets the base, and special roles only add on top.
