Spotting Low-Health Players and Finishing Fights Safely

Identify the Target

Scan the hearts above nearby players and look for short rows or mostly empty bars. A player with only a few hearts left is your best finishing target, because they need fewer successful hits to defeat and are more likely to be caught out of position while retreating.

Close the Distance Carefully

  • Approach from an angle where the target cannot easily see you, since a weakened player is often watching for threats.
  • Keep an eye on the target's hearts as you close in. If their health suddenly refills, they have eaten or healed, and the fight is no longer a clean finish.
  • Check the hearts of other players nearby before committing. A low-health target standing next to a healthy ally can turn a quick kill into a losing fight.

Finish and Reset

Land your hits quickly rather than dragging the fight out, since a wounded player may escape or receive help. After the target is down, immediately check your own health bar and the hearts of anyone still nearby. If you are low, retreat and heal before another player decides to finish you off.

Avoid Overconfidence

The overlay only shows health, not gear or potions. A player with few hearts may still be dangerous, so do not walk into an obvious trap just because their bar looks short.
