Show Arm Skin Details Under Armor
Rendering Skin Layers with Equipped Armor
By default, when you equip armor, your hand skin is hidden. You can change this to show skin details even when wearing gear.
Steps
1. Open your Plated Palms configuration
2. Locate Enable rendering arm wear for vanilla armor model
3. Toggle this option ON
4. Equip any vanilla armor piece
5. Look at your hands in first-person view
What Changes
When enabled, you'll see your character's arm skin (tattoos, sleeves, or custom skin details) visible underneath or alongside your armor sleeves. This creates a layered appearance.
You can also use Disable rendering arm wear with armor equipped to do the opposite—completely hide skin when armor is on. These settings work together to let you customize how much of your character's base skin shows through equipped gear.
Note: This primarily affects vanilla armor. Modded armor may render differently depending on how that mod designs its models.
