Adjust Vanilla Armor Size on Your Hands

Scaling Vanilla Armor Models

Vanilla armor sleeves might look too large or too small on your hands. You can adjust their visual size to fit better.

Steps

1. Open your Plated Palms configuration file

2. Find the Vanilla armor model size setting

3. Increase the value to make armor appear larger on your hands

4. Decrease the value to make armor appear smaller

5. Save and reload your game to see changes

Finding the Right Scale

Start with small adjustments and test in-game. Equip vanilla armor (iron, diamond, netherite, etc.) and look at your hands in first-person view. The sleeves should align naturally with your arm model without looking stretched or cramped.

This setting only affects standard Minecraft armor—modded armor sets may have their own sizing and won't be affected by this slider. If you're using mostly custom armor, this option may have minimal impact on your gameplay experience.
