Troubleshoot Missing or Invisible Planets
Check Installation and Compatibility
1. Verify the mod is loaded — Check your mod list in-game to confirm Planetarium Mod appears and is enabled.
2. Confirm Minecraft version compatibility — Ensure your mod version matches your Minecraft version. Mismatches prevent proper loading.
3. Test without other mods — Disable other mods temporarily to identify conflicts. Some mods alter sky rendering and may interfere.
Visibility Issues
Planets not appearing at night:
- Ensure you're looking at the actual night sky, not just a dark area. Planets render as part of the sky texture.
- Check if your render distance is high enough. Planets may fail to render at very low distances.
- Verify your brightness/gamma settings aren't hiding them.
Planets invisible with shaders:
- Confirm your shader supports Planetarium. Not all shaders are compatible.
- If using Complementary or similar, set Sun/Moon Style to "Reimagined" as described in mod documentation.
- Try disabling the shader temporarily to see if planets appear without it.
Still not working:
- Delete the mod's config file and let it regenerate with defaults.
- Reinstall the mod from a trusted source.
