Switch Between Different Map Render Types

Understanding Render Types

Pl3xMap offers multiple built-in rendering styles to visualize your world differently. Each render type highlights different information: basic vanilla appearance, nighttime lighting, biome colors, player activity, or decorative flowers.

Accessing Render Options

1. Open your Pl3xMap web interface in your browser

2. Look for a layers or render menu—typically a stacked squares icon or "Layers" button in the top-right corner

3. Available render types include:

  • Basic: Standard vanilla top-down view
  • Night: Shows how the world appears at night with lighting
  • Biomes: Color-codes terrain by biome type
  • Inhabited: Highlights areas based on player activity and chunk inhabitation
  • Flowermap: Displays decorative flowers and vegetation

Switching Views

Click any render type from the menu to instantly switch. The map will update to show that rendering style. You can toggle between renders as often as needed to analyze different aspects of your world—use biomes to plan builds, inhabited to find active areas, or night mode to scout for mob spawns.
