Organize Your Dye Storage System
Setting Up Organized Storage
With sixteen dyes now sharing a consistent visual style, you can create a logical storage system that makes crafting faster.
Storage Strategies
By color temperature:
- Dedicate one chest section to warm colors (red, orange, yellow, brown)
- Use another for cool colors (blue, cyan, purple, magenta)
- Keep neutrals (white, light gray, gray, black) in a separate area
By crafting purpose:
- Group dyes you use together for common recipes
- Keep primary colors (red, blue, yellow) in an easily accessible spot
- Store specialty colors (lime, light blue, magenta) separately if you use them less often
Labeling Tips
Since the dust piles look uniform, consider:
- Placing a sample dye block or wool next to your storage to show what's inside
- Using item frames above chests with dyed wool to indicate contents
- Creating a reference chart near your crafting area showing all sixteen powder colors
This system works especially well if you're doing large-scale dyeing projects or managing a shared server storage area.
