Make Foliage and Plants Look More Natural and Alive
Enable Wind Animation
In the shader settings, find the vegetation or foliage section and enable wind effects. This makes grass and leaves sway naturally, creating the illusion of a breeze moving through your world.
Adjust Wind Intensity and Speed
Control how dramatically plants move and how quickly the wind animation cycles. Higher intensity creates more noticeable swaying, while speed controls how fast the animation repeats. Moderate settings look most natural—extreme values can make plants look chaotic.
Enable Leaf Light Transmission
Activate the subsurface scattering or leaf transmission feature. This makes sunlight shine through thin leaves with a soft green glow, especially visible when the sun is behind foliage. This effect is most striking in dense forests or when looking up at tree canopies.
See Results in Different Biomes
Visit forests, jungles, and grassy plains to see how these effects look across different vegetation types. The combination of swaying plants and light transmission through leaves creates a lush, living atmosphere that transforms how natural areas feel in your world.
