Using Filters and the Filter Destination Tool
Setting Up Filters
Every Pipez pipe has a filter section in its GUI. You can switch between whitelist (only listed
things pass) and blacklist (everything except listed
things passes). Drag items from JEI/REI into the filter slots, or use the ghost slots to mark them. For fluids and gases, the same slots accept buckets or the mod's own fluid markers. Filters apply per-pipe, so a single network can route different items to different destinations by giving each pipe its own filter.
Routing with the Filter Destination Tool
The
Filter Destination Tool lets you pre-configure a filter and then paste it onto many pipes at once. Set up the filter once in the tool's GUI, then right-click each pipe you want to apply it to. This saves enormous time on large networks where dozens of pipes need identical settings.
Priority and Multiple Destinations
When several pipes share a source, Pipez uses priority to decide who gets items first. Higher priority pipes fill before lower ones. Combine priority with filters to build a sorting system: a high-priority pipe whitelists ore into a smelter, a medium-priority pipe blacklists ore into general storage, and a low-priority pipe catches everything else. Upgrades add more filter slots, so complex whitelists may require an Advanced or Ultimate upgrade before they fit.
