Troubleshooting Pipez Pipes That Won't Move Items

Check Connections First

If nothing is flowing, right-click the pipe with the Pipe Wrench to see which sides are connected. A pipe only interacts with a neighbor if that side is enabled. Common causes: the pipe is facing a block that doesn't expose an inventory, the side was accidentally toggled off, or two pipes of different types are touching and refusing to link.

Verify Extract and Insert Modes

Open the pipe GUI. A pipe must be set to extract on the side touching the source and insert on the side touching the destination. If both ends are set to extract, nothing moves. If both are insert, same problem. Also confirm the redstone setting — if it's set to "require signal" and no lever or torch is powering the pipe, it stays idle.

Filters and Upgrades

A whitelist filter with nothing in it blocks everything. Double-check that the item you're moving is actually listed, or temporarily switch to blacklist to test. If items move but slowly, the pipe is at its default throughput cap — insert a Basic, Improved, Advanced, or Ultimate Pipe Upgrade to raise it, or an Infinity Pipe Upgrade to remove the cap. Finally, if multiple destinations exist, remember that a higher-priority pipe will starve lower ones; lower the priority or add filters to balance the load.
