Gather Resources Efficiently from the Surrounding Terrain
Map Out Resource Locations
Spend your first day exploring the custom landscape around the castle. Note where you find trees, stone deposits, and water sources. The terrain is designed to provide variety, so different resources should be scattered at varying distances from the fortress.
Prioritize Wood First
Wood is your foundation. Chop down trees near the castle to gather logs quickly. Convert logs into planks and craft basic tools—pickaxe, axe, and shovel. Keep at least a stack of logs in your inventory for emergencies.
Mine Stone and Deeper Resources
Once you have a stone pickaxe, dig down carefully to find stone, coal, and iron. Look for natural caves or dig a staircase pattern downward. Mark your path with torches so you can find your way back to the castle.
Organize Your Gathering Routes
Establish regular paths from the castle to your favorite resource spots. Clear obstacles and place torches along the way. This makes gathering faster and safer, especially as night approaches. Return to the castle before dark with your collected materials.
