Troubleshooting High Ping Values

Understanding What High Ping Means

High ping (shown in red on your tab list) indicates a delay between your actions and the server's response. Ping View Mod displays this clearly, helping you identify whether the problem is on your end or the server's.

Diagnosing the Issue

Check everyone's ping: Open the tab list and look at other players' values. If most players show green or yellow but yours is red, your connection needs attention. If everyone shows high ping, the server itself may be struggling.

Note when it happens: Does your ping spike during specific activities like heavy building or when many players are online? This helps identify whether it's a network issue or server load.

Basic Troubleshooting

1. Move closer to your router or use a wired connection if possible

2. Close other applications using bandwidth (downloads, streaming, etc.)

3. Restart your router

4. Try connecting to a different server to test if the issue is universal

5. Check your internet speed with an external tool

When to Contact Support

If your ping remains consistently high only on one server while other servers show normal values, contact that server's administrators. They may be experiencing technical issues.
