Reading Ping Colors in Your Tab List

Understanding the Color System

Ping View Mod uses color-coded ping values to help you quickly assess connection quality at a glance. Each color represents a different latency range, making it easy to spot who has a stable connection and who might be experiencing lag.

How to Interpret Colors

When you open your tab list (default: press Tab), you'll see player names alongside their ping values. The color of each ping number tells you the connection status:

  • Green indicates low latency—smooth, responsive gameplay
  • Yellow shows moderate latency—playable but with slight delays
  • Red signals high latency—noticeable lag or connection issues

Checking Your Own Ping

Your ping appears in the tab list just like other players'. Look for your username and check the color-coded value next to it. This helps you understand your own connection quality to the server.

Why This Matters

In multiplayer, knowing ping helps explain combat delays, block-breaking timing issues, or why other players seem to move unpredictably. High ping on your end means your actions take longer to register on the server.
