Monitoring Player Latency During Multiplayer Sessions

Keeping Tabs on Connection Quality

Ping View Mod makes it simple to monitor how your server's players are performing connection-wise without leaving the game. This is especially useful for server admins or players trying to diagnose lag.

Quick Monitoring Steps

1. Press Tab to open the tab list

2. Scan the color-coded ping values next to each player name

3. Note any players with red or yellow pings—they may experience lag

4. Keep the tab list open during activities like PvP or building to spot connection issues in real-time

What to Watch For

If a player's ping suddenly spikes to red, they may be experiencing network problems. Conversely, if everyone's ping is green, the server connection is stable. This information helps explain why certain players might miss hits in combat or seem to teleport around.

Server Admin Use

If you're managing a server, regularly checking the tab list gives you insight into who might need to move closer to the server or troubleshoot their connection. Consistently high ping across all players suggests a server-side issue.
