Understanding Piglin-Chan Mob Variants
Identifying the Three Piglin Types
The Piglin-Chan Resource Pack transforms three distinct Piglin variants, each with unique appearances and behaviors:
Piglins are the standard mob you'll encounter most frequently in the Nether. They retain their characteristic trading behavior and neutral stance toward players holding gold items.
Zombified Piglins spawn when regular Piglins are exposed to water or when they wander into the Overworld. These undead variants are hostile and will attack on sight, regardless of gold items.
Piglin Brutes are the most dangerous variant, found in Bastion Remnants. They ignore gold entirely and attack players immediately. The resource pack emphasizes their fierce nature with a more intimidating anime aesthetic compared to standard Piglins.
Practical Recognition
When exploring the Nether, you can quickly identify which variant you're facing by their behavior:
- If a Piglin ignores you but reacts to gold, it's a standard Piglin
- If it's aggressive without provocation, check if it's Zombified or a Brute
- Brutes appear larger and more heavily armored
This visual distinction helps you decide whether to trade, flee, or prepare for combat.
