Troubleshoot Items Not Picking Up at Expected Distance
Verify Mod is Active
First, confirm PickupWidely Mod is properly installed and enabled. Check your mod list in-game (usually accessible from the main menu). If the mod appears in your active mods, it should be working.
Check Your Config Settings
The pickup range you're experiencing may not match your expectations if:
- The config file wasn't saved properly after editing
- You haven't reloaded your world after changing settings
- The values in the config are lower than you assumed
Reopen the config file and verify the horizontal and vertical range numbers match what you intended.
Test the Actual Range
Drop an item and slowly walk away from it in different directions. Note exactly how far you can be before it stops picking up. This confirms the current active range. If it's still not what you want, adjust the config values again and restart Minecraft completely (not just reloading the world).
