How to Change How Long Pick Up Notifier Entries Stay on Screen
The Two Timers You Need to Know
Pick Up Notifier uses two separate timing values for each entry in the pick-up log. The first controls how long an entry stays fully visible before it is considered outdated. The second controls how long the entry takes to slide off the screen once it starts leaving. Both are adjustable, and understanding the difference is the key to getting the feel you want.
Adjusting the Timers
Open the mod's config (through the Mods menu or the config file in your config folder). Find the option for how long entries are displayed — it is measured in ticks, and there are roughly twenty ticks per second, so a larger number means entries linger longer. Increase it if you keep missing what you picked up; decrease it if the log clutters your screen during fast mining or farming. Then find the separate option for how long the slide-out animation takes. A higher value gives a slow, smooth fade; a lower value makes entries vanish quickly.
Choosing Good Values
If you play with a lot of item pickups at once (mining, mob farms), shorter display times keep the corner readable. If you play casually and want a record of what you gathered, longer times help. Change one value at a time and pick up a few items to compare, since the two timers interact — a long display time with a long slide-out can leave old entries hanging around.
