Troubleshoot Water Reflections Not Appearing in Pholas Shaders
Verify Shader Settings Are Enabled
Open your shader options menu and confirm that water reflections or screen-space reflections (SSR) are toggled on. Some configurations have reflection quality as a separate slider—ensure it's not set to zero or disabled. Check if there's a specific option for water surface reflections versus other reflective surfaces.
Check Your Graphics Driver and Hardware
Reflections in Pholas Shaders require decent GPU capability. Ensure your graphics driver is up to date. If you're using integrated graphics, reflections may be disabled by default or perform poorly. Try lowering reflection quality in the shader settings rather than disabling them entirely.
Adjust Viewing Angle and Distance
Reflections are most visible when you're looking at water at a shallow angle—standing directly above water may not show reflections clearly. Move closer to the water surface and angle your view parallel to it. Also check that your render distance is high enough; reflections may not render if the reflected objects are beyond your view distance.
Test in Different Locations
Try standing near different water bodies—oceans, lakes, and rivers may render reflections differently depending on shader configuration. If reflections work in some places but not others, the issue may be related to biome-specific settings rather than a global problem.
