Reduce Eye Strain When Playing Long Sessions with Pholas Shaders

Adjust Brightness and Contrast

Pholas Shaders is designed to be visually bright with strong godrays and reflections. Open your shader settings and look for brightness or exposure controls. Lowering these slightly reduces glare without removing the shader's character. If available, reduce bloom intensity—this effect can cause eye fatigue during extended play.

Enable Comfort Features

Some shader configurations include a night vision or reduced contrast mode. These don't disable the shader's effects but soften harsh highlights. If your shader supports it, enable any "eye comfort" or "reduced glare" option.

Take Regular Breaks

Bright, detailed shaders demand more visual focus than vanilla Minecraft. Follow the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. Adjust your monitor's color temperature to warmer tones if playing in the evening, and ensure your room has adequate ambient lighting to reduce contrast between your screen and surroundings.

If eye strain persists, consider using Pholas Shaders during shorter play sessions or switching to a less visually intense shader for longer gameplay.
