Capture the Best Screenshots with Pholas Shaders' Lighting
Time Your Screenshots for Peak Lighting
Pholas Shaders' godrays and shadows shift with the sun and moon cycle. For dramatic godrays, take screenshots during sunrise or sunset when light angles are low and beams are most visible. Midday provides bright, even lighting ideal for building showcases. Dusk and night reveal the moon's influence on shadows and ambient lighting.
Position Yourself for Maximum Effect
Stand near trees, clouds, or tall structures when the sun is behind them—this makes godrays stream directly toward your camera for striking visuals. For water reflections, position yourself at a low angle to the water surface so reflections are clearly visible. Avoid standing directly under the sun; instead, angle your view so light sources are slightly off-center.
Use Shader-Specific Features
Many shader packs include a screenshot mode that pauses the game and lets you adjust time of day and camera angle without moving. Check your shader menu for this option. Disable HUD elements (F1 key) for clean shots, and consider using a high render distance to showcase the shader's effects across your landscape.
