Enable and Use Freelook Mode

Activating Freelook

Freelook mode lets you rotate your camera independently from your player's body direction. This is the core feature of Perspektive Mod.

To enable freelook:

1. Press your freelook activation key (default key varies by installation—check your controls settings)

2. Your camera will now move freely when you move your mouse

3. Your player body and direction remain unchanged

4. Press the key again to return to normal first-person view

Moving While Looking Around

One of the most useful aspects of freelook is that you can walk in one direction while your camera explores a different angle.

To move and freelook simultaneously:

1. Activate freelook mode

2. Use WASD to move your character forward, backward, or strafe

3. Move your mouse to look around freely—your character continues moving in their original direction

4. This is perfect for exploring terrain, examining structures, or following a path while surveying your surroundings

Your character's movement direction is independent of where your camera is pointing, allowing smooth exploration without stopping.
