How to Craft a Saddle

Materials Needed

Gather the required crafting materials. You'll need leather (obtainable from cows or other animals), iron ingots, and string. These are all farmable or mineable without combat.

Crafting Steps

1. Open your crafting table

2. Arrange the materials according to the Peaceful Recipes Mod saddle recipe

3. Craft the saddle and retrieve it from the output slot

4. Place the saddle on a horse, donkey, or llama by right-clicking the animal while holding it

Why This Matters

Saddles are essential for riding horses and other mounts across your world. Previously, you could only find them in dungeon chests or fishing, making them unreliable. With this mod, you can craft as many as you need for your transportation network.

Once saddled, you can control your mount's movement and jump height, making travel significantly faster than walking.
