Set Up Side-by-Side Game Windows for Two Players
Positioning Your Windows
Once you have launched two separate Minecraft instances (one for each account), you'll need to arrange them on your screen. Position the first game window to the left half of your monitor and the second to the right half. Most operating systems allow you to snap windows to screen edges—use this feature for quick alignment.
Adjusting Window Size
Resize each window so they fit comfortably side by side without overlapping. You may need to reduce the resolution or windowed mode settings within each game instance to ensure both are playable without lag. Test that both windows remain responsive when you click between them.
Controller Setup
Connect separate input devices (controllers or keyboard/mouse combinations) to your system. Assign one controller to each game window. Most modern controllers will work independently once connected. Test button inputs in each window to confirm they're responding to the correct device before starting your game session.
Performance Considerations
Running two instances simultaneously is resource-intensive. Monitor your system's CPU and RAM usage. If performance suffers, lower graphics settings in one or both instances, or reduce render distance to maintain playable framerates for both players.
