Play Multiplayer on the Same Screen Without a Server

Creating a Shared World

One instance should host a local world with LAN enabled. Launch the first account's game, create or load a world, then open to LAN from the pause menu. Note the port number displayed—you'll need this for the second player.

Connecting the Second Player

In the second instance (running a different account), go to Multiplayer and select "Direct Connection." Enter the host computer's local IP address followed by the port number (format: IP:port). Both players will now be in the same world on the same screen.

Gameplay Tips

Both players can interact with the world simultaneously. Coordinate your activities—mining, building, or exploring together. Be aware that both instances are running on the same machine, so performance may be impacted compared to single-player.

Saving Progress

The world is saved on the host instance's computer. Make regular saves to avoid losing progress. When you're done, both players can exit to the main menu, and the world will persist for your next session.
