Pet Other Players in Multiplayer

Interacting with Friends Through Petting

The Pat Pat Mod extends beyond mobs—you can also pat other players on multiplayer servers for fun social interactions.

How Player Petting Works

1. Approach another player in your multiplayer world

2. Look directly at them and right-click

3. Watch the animation play on both your screen and theirs

4. The other player sees a notification or animation indicating they've been patted

Social Uses

  • Greeting friends when joining a server
  • Celebrating achievements together
  • Creating funny moments during group activities
  • Non-verbal communication in busy multiplayer environments

Server Permissions

Some servers may restrict player petting through plugin settings. If you can't pat other players, the server administrator may have disabled this feature. Check server rules or ask moderators about interaction settings.

Etiquette

While petting is harmless, respect other players' preferences. Excessive or unwanted petting might annoy teammates, so use it sparingly and in appropriate social contexts.
