Create Custom Pat Animations with Resource Packs

Customizing Your Petting Animations

The Pat Pat Mod supports community resource packs, allowing you to replace default hand animations with custom ones.

Finding and Installing Resource Packs

1. Locate resource packs designed for the Pat Pat Mod from community sources

2. Download the .zip file to your computer

3. Place the file in your game's resourcepacks folder

4. Launch Minecraft and open Settings → Resource Packs

5. Activate the custom pack by moving it to the "Active" section

6. Apply and restart your world

What Custom Packs Modify

Resource packs can change:

  • Hand model and texture appearance
  • Animation speed and style
  • Sound effects accompanying pats
  • Mob-specific animation variations

Testing Your Pack

After installation, pet different mobs to verify animations display correctly. If animations don't appear, check that the pack is enabled and compatible with your mod version.

Creating Your Own

Advanced players can create custom packs by modifying animation files within a resource pack structure, though this requires familiarity with Minecraft's animation JSON format.
