Mastering Long-Distance Jumps Across Gaps
Identifying Jump Distance
Before attempting a long jump, stand at the edge of your current platform and visually measure the gap. Look at where the next platform begins and ends. Longer gaps require you to build a running start and time your jump carefully.
Building Momentum
Walk backward several blocks from the edge to create space for a running start. Sprint forward by holding the sprint key and move toward the edge. Release sprint just as you jump to maximize your distance. The timing between sprint and jump affects how far you travel.
Landing Safely
Aim for the middle of the target platform, not its edge. Landing near the center gives you room to recover if your jump falls slightly short. If you land at the platform's edge, you risk bouncing off or sliding backward.
Practice Sections
Each biome has progressively longer jumps. Start with shorter gaps in the Forest and Mushroom areas to build confidence. Use checkpoints to isolate difficult jump sequences and practice them repeatedly. Once you understand the jump mechanics, longer distances become manageable.
