Configure Parallel Chunk Generation for Your Modpack
Adjust CPU Core Allocation
Parallel World Streamer Mod automatically detects your available CPU cores, but you can fine-tune how many threads handle terrain generation. Access the mod's configuration file to set the worker thread count. Allocating more threads speeds up generation but increases RAM usage—a trade-off the mod makes explicit. Start with your total core count minus 2 (to keep your game responsive), then adjust based on performance.
Enable Auto-Tuning for Your Setup
The mod includes an auto-tuning worldgen feed system that learns your hardware's optimal settings over time. Allow the mod to run through several chunks of generation before judging performance. If you notice stuttering despite high thread allocation, reduce the thread count slightly—your system may be bottlenecked by RAM bandwidth rather than CPU cores.
Monitor Generation Speed
Watch chunk generation rates in the debug screen or mod logs. If generation feels slower than expected, verify that other mods aren't conflicting. Mods like Canary or Radium provide overlapping optimizations; the mod automatically steps aside for these, so having both installed won't cause crashes but may not stack benefits.
