Making the PaperDoll Show Your Armor and Held Weapon Correctly
The doll is meant to mirror your character exactly, including gear, so if it looks bare or wrong, the cause is almost always rendering or config related rather than the mod failing.
What the doll mirrors
The doll renders your player model with the same equipment the main character wears: armor pieces, the item in your main hand, and the item in your off hand. It also copies your pose and animations, which is why it swings when you swing. If you switch to a different weapon or take armor off, the doll should update on the next frame.
When gear does not appear
First, confirm the item is actually equipped and not just sitting in your inventory. Off-hand items only show if something is genuinely in the off-hand slot. If armor is invisible on the doll, check whether your config has an option to hide armor or render the model in a simplified mode, and turn that off. Modded armor and weapons that use custom models may not render on the doll the same way they do in the world — this is a limitation of how the doll draws the model, not something you can fix with settings. If the doll shows nothing at all, verify the mod is enabled for your current world and that no other HUD mod is drawing over the same corner.
