How to See Your Armor and Skin on the Paper Doll

The paper doll renders a side view of your player, including your skin and any armor you are wearing. If it looks plain or wrong, the cause is usually the skin or armor itself rather than the mod.

What the Doll Shows

Because the doll is a side-view of your player model, it displays your current skin texture and the armor pieces equipped on your character. Change your armor in-game and the doll updates to match — there is nothing extra to configure for armor to appear.

If Your Skin Is Not Showing

If the doll shows a default or blank appearance, your skin may not have loaded. This is common on servers or with certain account setups. Rejoin the world or server, and confirm your skin appears correctly on the full player model in third-person view first. If the full model is also wrong, the issue is your skin, not the doll.

Making Details Visible

Armor and skin details are hard to read when the doll is tiny. Increase the doll's scale in the display settings so the side profile is large enough to distinguish helmet, chestplate, and leggings. Combined with a good screen position, this makes the doll genuinely useful for checking your gear at a glance.
