Scan an Existing Building and Save It as a Palette

Activate the Capture Tool

Run the capture command to receive a scanning tool:

`

/palette capture

`

This gives you a special item that lets you mark two corners of any structure.

Select Your Building Area

Use the capture tool to click on two opposite corners of the building you want to scan. The mod reads all the blocks within that region and analyzes which ones are actually used in the structure.

Save as a Palette

Once captured, the mod automatically creates a palette from the scanned blocks. This palette is saved and can be:

  • Shared with teammates using /palette share <player>
  • Exported to a book with /palette book so you can hand it to other players
  • Reused later by searching for it with /palette search

This is especially useful for maintaining consistent building styles across your server or for documenting your architectural choices for future reference.
