Enhance Light Source Colors for Atmosphere

Understanding Colored Lighting

PaintBound Shaders transforms standard light sources into vibrant, fantasy-colored lights. Torches, glowstone, lanterns, and other emissive blocks emit tinted light that spreads across nearby surfaces, creating mood and depth.

Position Light Sources Strategically

Place light sources where you want color impact. Warm-toned lights (like torches) work well in cozy builds, while glowstone and other bright blocks can emit cooler or more saturated hues depending on the shader's color palette. Cluster multiple light sources to intensify colored bloom in key areas.

Combine with Bloom for Maximum Effect

The soft bloom effect automatically surrounds bright objects, making colored light more visible and dreamlike. Position lights at night or in darker areas to see the full bloom radius. Underground bases and cave builds benefit dramatically from this feature.

Experiment with Placement

Try placing lights at different heights and distances from your main structures. The shader's brushstroke style means colored light interacts naturally with surfaces, so test various configurations to find what suits your build's aesthetic.
