Backpacks and Upgrades

Packed Up adds craftable backpacks that give you portable storage. The basic backpack is made from leather and provides three rows of storage. From there, you can upgrade it sequentially through iron, copper, gold, diamond, and finally obsidian. If another mod adds silver, a silver backpack becomes available as well. Each tier is crafted from predefined materials, so progression follows the upgrade chain rather than skipping ahead.

Naming and Nesting

To tell your backpacks apart, you can rename them to whatever you like. Backpacks can also be placed inside one another, letting you organize storage in layers. Notably, you can open the inventory of a backpack stored inside another backpack without removing it first, which makes nested storage practical rather than just a gimmick. This combination of renaming and nesting keeps larger collections of backpacks manageable.
