How to Tell Whether Your Armor Is Actually Better Than Diamond
Display Versus Reality
The armor bar shows you what the game is tracking, but the number behind it matters. Overloaded Armor Bar exists precisely because the vanilla bar cannot express armor stronger than diamond. When you install armor from other mods, the bar wrapping into a second colored row is your signal that the armor value has passed the vanilla full-bar threshold.
Checking the Real Cap
There is an important catch: without
AttributeFix, the game clamps how much armor actually reduces damage. That means two different sets of very strong armor can display differently on the bar while protecting you identically, because both are above the clamp. If you are comparing endgame sets and the bar looks different but you take the same damage, the cap is why.
Practical Steps
1. Equip the armor set and watch how many rows fill and what color the top row is.
2. If the bar wraps, you are above vanilla diamond-level display.
3. If you want the bar to keep growing accurately past the clamp, install
AttributeFix alongside this mod.
4. Use the config to give each wrap layer a memorable color so you can instantly recognize your strongest sets.
This turns the armor bar from a simple full/empty indicator into a real comparison tool for modded gear.
