Combine Limestone and Glazed Terracotta for Decorative Flooring
Material Selection
The mod provides Limestone blocks in multiple finishes and new glazed terracotta patterns. These materials work together to create intricate floor designs that complement your stone arches and pillars.
Design Approach
1. Plan your pattern: Sketch a floor layout using graph paper. Simple geometric patterns (checkerboards, stripes, borders) work well at scale.
2. Establish a color scheme: Combine Limestone with glazed terracotta colors that echo your arch materials. For example, pair Prismarine arches with cool-toned terracotta.
3. Lay the base layer: Create your primary floor using Limestone blocks as the foundation.
4. Add terracotta accents: Inlay glazed terracotta patterns to create borders, medallions, or directional guides.
5. Frame with borders: Use contrasting Limestone variants or stone blocks to frame your decorative sections.
Integration Tip
Extend floor patterns beneath arches and around pillar bases to visually anchor your architectural elements. This creates a cohesive design where flooring, walls, and ceilings feel intentionally connected.
