Master Wall Jumping as Mario
How Wall Jumping Works
As Mario, you can scale vertical surfaces by jumping between walls. This ability lets you reach high places without blocks or ladders, making it essential for exploration and combat evasion.
Performing a Wall Jump
1. Sprint toward a wall or vertical surface
2. Jump into the wall while moving forward
3. While in mid-air against the wall, jump again to propel yourself upward
4. Repeat this process by alternating between walls or the same wall
Tips for Success
- Timing matters: Jump immediately after touching the wall; waiting too long breaks your momentum
- Use narrow gaps: Wall jumping is easiest between two close walls where you can alternate jumps
- Combine with sprint jumping: Your increased sprint-jump distance makes wall jumping even more effective
- Practice in creative mode first: Build a tall corridor with walls on both sides to get comfortable with the rhythm
- Watch your stamina: Continuous wall jumping uses energy, so plan your route accordingly
Wall jumping is particularly useful for escaping mobs, reaching high caves, or navigating challenging terrain without building structures.
