How to Vein Mine in the Ore Vein Miner Data Pack

Mining a Full Vein

Hold a pickaxe and press and hold sneak (crouch). While crouched, break any ore block. The entire connected vein is mined instantly, so you only need to break one block to clear the whole cluster.

Silk Touch works with vein mining, letting you collect the ore blocks themselves rather than their drops. Fortune, however, disables vein mining automatically, so you cannot combine the two.

Watch your tool durability: a large vein consumes durability for every block mined, not just the one you broke. On low-end systems, big veins can also cause minor lag as many blocks break at once.

If vein mining does not trigger, check that you are sneaking and holding a pickaxe before breaking the ore.
