Reduce Chat Spam from Frequent Ore Discoveries

Disable Low-Value Ores

If your server is experiencing excessive chat announcements, configure the mod to only broadcast rare or valuable ores. Disable announcements for ores you find frequently, such as copper or common stone variants.

Set Up a Discovery Threshold

Some configurations allow you to set a minimum rarity level. Check your mod settings for options that filter announcements by ore value or frequency. This ensures only significant discoveries get announced.

Coordinate with Server Admins

On multiplayer servers, ask your administrator to adjust the global mod settings. They may implement a cooldown between announcements, limit which ores broadcast, or restrict announcements to specific player groups.

Test Your Settings

After making changes, mine a few different ore types to verify which ones still trigger announcements. This helps you find the right balance between staying informed about important discoveries and keeping chat readable.
