Configure Which Ores Trigger Announcements

Access the Config Menu

Open the mod's in-game configuration options. The exact method depends on your mod loader, but typically you can access this through the mods menu or a dedicated config screen.

Select Ores to Broadcast

Once in the config, you'll find a list of ore types. Toggle each ore on or off depending on whether you want announcements when that ore is discovered. Common ores like iron, diamond, and gold are usually enabled by default.

You can disable announcements for common ores like stone or dirt to reduce chat spam, while keeping rare ores like emerald or ancient debris enabled. This keeps your server chat focused on genuinely exciting discoveries.

Save Your Changes

After adjusting your ore preferences, save the configuration. Changes typically apply immediately or after a server restart, depending on your setup. Test by mining an ore you've enabled—you should see a chat announcement appear for all players.

Remember that server administrators may have their own global config that overrides individual player settings.
