Preparing Your Tools

Bring a pickaxe appropriate for the ore type you're harvesting. Standard mining rules apply—use iron or better for most ores, and ensure your pickaxe is enchanted if you want to maximize efficiency. Bring plenty of torches to light your deposit area and prevent mob spawning.

Mining the Deposit

Mine the ore blocks as you normally would. The key advantage of deposits is that ore regenerates in the same location, so you can return repeatedly without depleting the resource. Mine at your own pace—there's no rush since the ore will respawn.

Maximizing Yield

Consider setting up a small base or waypoint near your deposit for quick access. This saves travel time on repeat visits. If the deposit is in a cave or exposed area, light it thoroughly to prevent mobs from interfering with your mining.
