Find Modded Ore Deposits

Modded Ore Compatibility

Ore Deposits Mod supports modded ores automatically. If a modded ore generates naturally in the overworld above Y=8, it can spawn as a deposit. This means any mod-added ores you have installed may appear as renewable deposits in your world.

Locating Modded Deposits

Search for modded ores using the same methods as vanilla ores—explore caves, mine shafts, and underground areas. Modded deposits generate alongside regular ore deposits, so you may find them while exploring for standard ores.

Identifying Modded Ore Deposits

If you're unsure whether a modded ore is generating as a deposit, mine a cluster of it. If the ore regenerates after time, it's a renewable deposit. If it doesn't respawn, it's a regular ore vein.

Checking Ore Height Requirements

Remember that modded ores only generate as deposits if they spawn above Y=8 in the overworld. If a modded ore generates only in the Nether or at very specific heights, it may not have deposit variants. Check your mod's documentation to understand where each ore generates naturally.
