Verify Fullbright is Working Correctly
Check Light Levels on F3 Screen
Press F3 to open the debug overlay. Look for the light level display (usually shown as numbers on blocks or in the left panel). When fullbright is active, every visible block should read light level 15, regardless of time of day or proximity to light sources.
Test in Different Environments
Move to several locations to confirm consistent behavior:
- Underground: Deep caves should appear fully lit
- Night time: Surface blocks should be bright, not dark
- Indoors: Interior rooms without torches should be visible
- Water: Underwater areas should be clear
Disable and Re-enable
Toggle fullbright off using your keybind. Light levels should return to normal (varying 0–15). Toggle back on—levels should jump to 15 again. Smooth transitions confirm the mod is responding correctly.
Performance Check
If your FPS doesn't improve in dark areas, the mod may not be active. Verify the keybind is set and try toggling again. Check that no conflicting mods are overriding the lighting system.
