Using the Aiming Cube to Improve Combat Spacing

Understand the Cube's Purpose

The aiming cube marks the optimal point to aim for maximum reach. It typically highlights the closest point on your opponent's hitbox—usually their head—ensuring your attacks connect reliably.

Practice Distance Awareness

Engage in practice fights and observe when the cube appears and disappears. This visual feedback teaches you the exact 3-block reach limit. Move closer and farther from opponents to internalize this spacing, so you eventually recognize it without the cube.

Aim for the Cube During Combat

When fighting, keep your crosshair aligned with the cube. This trains muscle memory for proper aim placement. Over time, you'll develop an intuition for where to aim even when the cube isn't visible.

Learn Positioning Patterns

Notice how the cube's position changes based on your opponent's stance and movement. Crouching, jumping, and strafing all alter hitbox positioning. Use the cube to understand these variations and predict where opponents will be vulnerable.

Regularly practicing with the cube active accelerates your development as a PvP player.
