OptiLeaves Mod Guide

What OptiLeaves Changes

OptiLeaves is a small visual mod that targets one specific annoyance in Minecraft: the messy look of overlapping leaf blocks. In vanilla, when leaf blocks sit next to or inside each other, their textures stack up and create visual noise, especially in dense forests. OptiLeaves cleans this up by removing that overlapping clutter, so foliage reads as a smoother, more natural mass of leaves rather than a jumble of repeated textures.

The practical effect is better visibility through dense foliage. You can see into and through tree canopies more clearly without the layered texture buildup getting in the way. This applies to vanilla leaves and modded leaves alike, and the mod is designed to stay lightweight and performance-friendly, so it won't weigh down your game.

It also plays nicely with most shaders and resource packs, meaning you can keep your existing visual setup. If you want cleaner forests without changing how the game plays, this is the tweak for you.
