Craft and Repair Hammers

Crafting Your First Hammer

Hammers are crafted using the same materials as pickaxes—wood, stone, iron, diamond, or netherite. Check your mod's crafting recipes for the exact layout, but the pattern mirrors standard pickaxe recipes.

Crafting Steps

1. Gather materials appropriate to your hammer tier (wood, stone, iron ingots, diamonds, or netherite ingots).

2. Open your crafting table and arrange materials in the pickaxe pattern.

3. Craft your hammer and take it from the output slot.

Repairing Hammers

1. Use an anvil with two hammers of the same material to combine them and restore durability.

2. Combine with materials: Place a hammer and appropriate crafting material (iron ingot for iron hammer, diamond for diamond hammer, etc.) on an anvil to repair it partially.

3. Plan ahead—since 3×3 mining drains durability faster than single-block mining, keep spare hammers or repair materials in your base.

Durability Note

Hammers last longer than pickaxes overall, but the 3×3 swing means each use affects more blocks. This is a fair trade-off for the efficiency gain.
