Using OneConfig with Multiple Mods

Managing Multiple OneConfig-Compatible Mods

When you have several mods using OneConfig, they all share the same configuration system, making management simpler.

Organizing Your Configs

1. Unified menu: All OneConfig mods typically appear in a single menu system, organized by mod name

2. Search functionality: Use the search feature to quickly find settings across all installed mods

3. Categories: Most mods organize their settings into logical groups (gameplay, visual, performance, etc.)

Best Practices

  • Document your changes: If you adjust many settings, note which ones you've modified so you can replicate them if needed
  • Test incrementally: When adding new OneConfig mods, enable them one at a time to identify any conflicts
  • Backup configs: Your config files are stored in your config folder—backing them up lets you restore settings if something goes wrong

Performance Considerations

OneConfig is designed to be lightweight, but having many mods with extensive configuration options can make the menu slower to navigate. If you experience lag in the config menu, try closing other applications or reducing the number of active mods.
