Craft Your First Workbench

Gather wood from your starter block and craft a crafting table. Place it on your platform in an accessible spot. This unlocks recipes for sticks, planks, and basic wooden tools—your first step toward better gear.

Upgrade to Stone Tools

Break your starter block until stone appears. Collect enough stone blocks, then use your crafting table to make a stone pickaxe. Stone tools are faster and more durable than wood, letting you mine harder materials like iron ore and coal.

Build a Furnace

Smelt stone blocks in a furnace to create smooth stone, then craft a furnace from 8 stone blocks. Use it to smelt iron ore into iron ingots. Iron tools are significantly faster and open up access to diamonds and other valuable ores.

Plan Your Gear Path

Once you have iron, prioritize crafting an iron pickaxe (for mining diamonds), an iron sword (for mob defense), and iron armor (for protection). Store extra iron for repairs and future upgrades. Each tool tier dramatically improves your efficiency and survival chances.
