Prepare for and Handle Mob Encounters
Expect Mobs in Every Layer
Mobs spawn randomly within the layers as you dig. You won't know what's waiting until you break through—it could be zombies, creepers, spiders, or nothing at all. Always dig defensively.
Dig Safely
When approaching a new layer, dig a small hole first and peek through before fully opening it up. If you hear mob sounds or see movement, seal it back up and come back with better armor and weapons. Never dig straight up into an unknown layer—mobs can fall on you.
Combat Readiness
Carry a sword, shield, and healing food at all times while mining. Wear the best armor you've crafted so far. Keep your health topped up before entering risky layers. If you're low on health, retreat to your base and recover.
Strategic Retreat
You don't have to fight every mob. If a layer is too dangerous, skip it and dig around it. Come back later with better equipment. Some layers might be easier to navigate by mining horizontally rather than dropping straight down into mob-infested areas.
