Prepare for Mobs and Threats

Light Up Your Island

Mobs spawn in darkness. As soon as you get torches or crafting materials for them, place lights across your entire island. Prioritize areas where you sleep and work. Keep adding lights as you expand.

Build a Safe Shelter

Create a small room with a door and a bed. This is your spawn point if you die and your safe zone at night. Make it defensible—use solid blocks for walls and keep the entrance narrow so mobs can't rush in.

Gather Weapons and Armor

When the center block drops ores, smelt them into ingots and craft armor and weapons. Even basic wooden or stone tools help you fight back. Store extra weapons in your shelter.

Create a Perimeter Defense

Once your island is large enough, consider building walls or fences around the edge. This slows mob approach and gives you time to react. Add torches on top to prevent spawning on your perimeter.
