Plan Your Layout

Before placing blocks randomly, decide on a shape. A square or circle is easier to defend and build on than scattered pieces. Start small (5×5) and expand outward in layers as resources allow.

Gather Building Blocks Strategically

The center block cycles through different materials. Collect dirt and stone in bulk—these are your primary building blocks. When you get wood, use it for structures and tools rather than filling large areas. Save rare blocks like ores for specific purposes.

Build Vertically for Space

As your island grows, add height. Create a second level for farms, a third for storage, and higher levels for lookout points. Vertical building saves space and makes your base more functional.

Secure Your Edges

Add walls or railings around your island's perimeter to prevent falling. This becomes critical as your base gets larger and you move around more quickly. Leave gaps only where you intentionally want access.
